Exchange Email Information

As of Monday, January 8, all Providence College email accounts have been moved to our new Microsoft Exchange server. This page contains links to all the information regarding the change.

You will notice some differences in the webmail system. Exchange offers a more functional webmail program, called Outlook Web Access. It looks and works like Microsoft Outlook.

Students

Your email password will be changed from your current password to the last 5 digits of your Banner ID. Your username will remain the same (the part of your email address before the @providence.edu).

If you use your network drive (or G: drive), your password to log on to that will also be affected as your new Exchange password and your network drive password will both be the same.

Faculty and Staff

Your email password will now be the same password as your Windows domain password that you use to log on to your computer in your office. Your username will remain the same.

Dial-up Users

If you access the college Internet system via a dial-up modem, your login name and password will also become the same password as your Windows domain name and password.
