Security Awareness

Information, Understanding and Common Sense are essential traits in making sure your security is the best it can be. Be informed as to what threats exist, understand how this can effect you and use good judgment to make decisions. Common sense goes a long way in protecting yourself. If you have a feeling something is possibly fraudulent it probably is and should require further verification. A few minutes to verify the validity of something ahead of time can save you many headaches afterwards if you don't verify it. There are many sites that exist to educate and validate information. It is prudent to take advantage of these resources for your own protection.

The Information Security Office at Providence College strives to provide security awareness to the campus. We are available to answer any questions or address any concerns regarding Information Security.
