As a section of the Information Technology Department, the Telecommunications staff is charged with providing and maintaining comprehensive and feature rich voice communications data, and video cable pathways plus other communication services to meet the needs of the Faculty, Staff, Students and Dominican Fathers of Providence College.

Services provided include:

• On-campus, local, domestic and international calling
• Voice telephone station equipment
• Voice messaging, automated attendants, and voice bulletin broadcasts
• Facsimile reception and transmission
• Conference Calling
• Switchboard and campus telephone information service
• Cellular telephone procurement and management
• Planning, engineering, installation and support of fiber optic, copper or coaxial cable infrastructure for present and future voice, networked computer, video services, and surveillance cameras
