Telephone Equipment and Features

	The 2006 is a single line digital telephone. There are six programmable keys. The bottom key functions as the extension number. The five remaining keys are for system feature access. This telephone comes standard with on-hook dialing, message waiting LED, Hold/Release keys and volume controls. The speaker is one way listen only.
	The 2008 is either a single or multi-line digital telephone. It is equipped with eight keys which can be programmed for any combination of directory numbers or system feature access. This telephone also comes standard with on-hook dialing, message waiting LED, Hold/Release keys and volume controls. The speaker is one way listen only. The display is optional at extra cost.
	The 2616 is also either a single or multi-line digital telephone. It is equipped with sixteen keys which can be programmed for any combination of directory numbers or system feature access. This telephone also comes standard with on-hook dialing, message waiting LED, Hold/Release keys and volume controls. The speaker is both listen and speaking for full hands free capability. The 2616 is also available with a two line by twenty four character display (shown) which displays the name and extension of callers from campus extensions. The display is optional at extra cost.

COMMONLY USED TELEPHONE FEATURES

CALL FORWARDING	Use this feature to have all calls to your extension ring immediately at another extension.
To Activate:	Without lifting the handset, press forward key. Dial number where calls are to be forwarded. Press forward key again.
To Cancel:	Press forward key again
CALLPICKUP	If your extension is in a Call Pickup group, you can answer any other ringing extension in that group.
To Respond:	Press Call Pickup key or press * then 7.
TRANSFER	This feature is used to transfer a call to another extension.
To Activate:	Press Transfer key. Dial the destination extension. Press Transfer key again.
CONFERENCE	Can be used to connect a total of six (6) parties either on or off campus.
To Activate:	Press Conference key. Dial the first on campus extension or telephone number. Announce the conference. Press Conference key again. Repeat procedure up to five (5) additional parties.
CALL HOLD	For multi-line sets. Allows you to put a call on hold and answer another line.
To Activate	Press Hold key.
To Release:	Press Extension key.
LAST NUMBER REDIAL	Allows for the ability to call the last number dialed without dialing the digits.
To Use:	Lift the handset and press the extension key twice. The system will automatically dial the number.
SPEED CALL	Allows the ability to store telephone numbers into memory.
To Program:	Without lifting the handset, Press Speed Call key Dial one (1) digit Speed Call access code (0-9) Dial the telephone number to be stored. Don’t forget to enter 9 before the number if off campus. Press Speed Call key again.
To Use:	Lift handset press Speed Call key Dial one (1) digit Speed Call access code. The number is dialed.
AUTO DIAL	Allows the ability to program a key to dial a specific telephone number.
To Program:	Without lifting the handset press Auto Dial key. Dial the telephone number to be stored. Press Auto Dial key again.
DIAL INTERCOM	Provides intra-departmental communication.
To Use:	Lift handset, Press Dial Intercom (IC) key. Dial the 1 or 2 digit member number. Hear ringing until intercom is manually answered.
ELECTRONIC LOCK	Allows the ability to prevent others from making calls off campus usually after normal business hours
To Activate:	Lift handset, dial * 97. Dial 4 digit password (which you must create and remember). Hear special dial tone. Telephone is now unable to call off campus.
To Cancel:	Lift handset, dial * 98. Dial 4 digit password. Hear special dial tone. Telephone is now able to call off campus.
CHANGE ELECTRONIC LOCK PASSWORD	Frequent changing of the password dissuades determined hackers from gaining access.
To Change:	Lift Handset, dial * 99. Dial present 4 digit password. Dial new 4 digit password. Dial new 4 digit password again.
